Dr. Seymann is a faculty hospitalist and vice-chief of the UCSD Division of Hospital Medicine, Department of Medicine. He is the faculty director for the UCSD SOM Choosing Wisely STARS program, oversees the UCSD Internal Medicine Residency’s “Value Improves Quality Course,” and co-directs the VITAL (Value Innovation Teaching and Leadership) program for the High Value Practice Academic Alliance.

He enjoys boxing, playing guitar, and paddleboarding, although (at least by his own account) he is not particularly good at any of them.
